Senior Enterprise Architect
Key Role
Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs. Assist in establishing a common business vision within the scope of various customer environments. Perform industry and market trend research to assess solution scenarios. Assist customers with rationalizing and defending architectural decisions. Perform planning activities to assist customers in transforming their environment. Monitor and assess project activities to ensure alignment with the customers’ strategic goals. Perform analysis, modeling and document existing customer environments.
Work with subject matter experts to understand the scope, taxonomy, existing assets, and relationships given a specific customer scope. Help define and establish an architectural vision for solutions. Perform industry research to assess industry and market trends and potential solutions to challenges. Collaborate across stakeholder boundaries to build consensus. Prepare, deliver, and lead presentations across all levels of stakeholders including executives, directors, project management, and operational staff. Facilitate professional meetings of 50 or less participants. Create complex documents that: develop taxonomies and ontologies, capture architecture and rationalize decisions, and are clearly explained. Manage key projects in support of customer goals.
Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Oversee day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. Identify business development and sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project. Experience with use cases and UML. Experience with modeling and graphics for developing requirements and design models and visualization artifacts.
Qualifications
- 5 years intensive business-level experience with Enterprise Architecture projects, including baseline, target, and transition planning, and experience with full life-cycle development, including requirements, design, implementation, integration, and testing
- Superior communications skills
- Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills
- Strong persuasive presentation skills
- Ability to work professionally and respectfully with subordinate, peer, and senior staff
- Strong understanding of government operations and business challenges
- Strong technical skills
- Experience with use cases and UML
- Experience with modeling and graphics for developing requirements and design models and visualization artifacts
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience to demonstrate business and technical proficiency
- EA Certification preferred
Clearance
