Elyria, OH -- The NASA Enterprise Architecture Team received the E-Gov Institute's "Government Civilian Leadership in Government Transformation Award" on September 13th, 2006. The award was based on NASA's innovative Enterprise Architecture Review process that Information Dynamics helped pioneer to manage the NASA Information Technology portfolio. Since inception 18 months ago, NASA has completed 21 EA reviews, with a life cycle value of $440M, and 32 more reviews are currently in progress. The ROI analysis from EA Reviews has indicated more than $40M can be reinvested back into IT infrastructure upgrades or other mission-enabling investments. The ROI is derived from eliminating duplicative investments, decommissioning end-of-life systems, and cost avoidance.
