Attending the “NASA SBIR Community: Opportunities and Challenges” Symposium
“As industry matures, innovation shifts from products to processes”

Information Dynamics attended a NASA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) symposium hosted by the National Academies on June 21, 2011 in Washington D.C. In describing SBIR as part of an integrated R&D portfolio, David Anderson the ISPT Program Manager, stated that “as industry matures, innovation shifts from products to processes,” indicating the need for process innovations in NASA Science programs and projects. The event featured Robert Braun, NASA Chief Technologist, Jason Crusan, Space Operations Mission Directorate Chief Technologist, NASA Program Managers, as well as executives from industry and academia involved in a variety of NASA SBIR Program aspects.
