Training Classes
Information Dynamics provides one-, two-, three-, and five-day training for executives in Enterprise Architecture, the Federal Segment Architecture Methodology, and Performance Reference Model and Linkage to Strategic Planning. Our classes can be tailored to address specific customer needs.
Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM)
The Federal Segment Architecture Methodology (FSAM) is a step-by-step process for developing and using segment architectures that was developed by distilling proven best practices from Federal agencies and industry practitioners. Use of the FSAM should result in more complete and consistent segment architecture products and will result in greater reuse of segment architectures by providing key information that informs downstream processes for business performance, capital planning and investment control (CPIC), and the system development life cycle. The FSAM is a prescriptive methodology developed by practitioners that ensures alignment with the FEA framework. The FSAM features easy-to-use templates that expedite architecture development and maximize architecture use. The FSAM includes step-by-step guidance based on business-driven, results-oriented architecture.
What you will learn
- Improving performance through business transformation.
- A clear methodology to develop a core mission area segment architecture.
- How to distill best practices from industry practitioners using their product templates.
- Common EA language to facilitate investment reuse within your organization and across the federal space.
- How to use work products developed through the FSAM for mandatory Segment Architecture reporting to OMB.
Who should attend
Business executives, service owners, IT managers, and enterprise architects who want to learn how to use the Federal Segment Architecture Methodology to develop their own core segment architectures.
